The Erosion of Victoria Concordia Crescit from Arsene Wenger's Color

Arsene Wenger (telegraph.co.uk)
Either this is only my feeling that too far, or the truth. Arsene Wenger's comments before against West Ham made me pensive. Wenger's comments were related to West Ham's plan, moving to Olympic Stadium next season.

This what Wenger said: "Well done. You have won in the lottery and you do not need to sweat like I did for long years and fight for every pound. So it's very well done. "

When compared with the Emirates which are estimated to annex funds up to 390 million pounds, West Ham was seen Wenger so lucky.

For the French manager, West Ham won a lottery tub after competing with Tottenham Hotspur for the rights to use the Olympic Stadium with a capacity of 60 thousand seats. London club previously based at the Boleyn Ground have had to spend up to 15 million pounds, the details of the lease 2.5 million pounds per year to contract at the Olympic Stadium.

Perhaps for the readers, the comments seem normative, mediocre. However, honestly, I am troubled by sorts of that "affirmation". Indeed, Wenger is one of the most instrumental people in the process of building a bloody Arsenal Emirates Stadium. However, Wenger does not need to claim as the most miserable person.

Is Wenger jealous with "success" of West Ham get the stadium at a bargain price? During the development process along with the repayment of Emirates debt, Wenger was forced to tighten their belts, to shortness half dead.

Limited transfer funds forced Wenger to play the brain in order to prepare a competitive squad every year. The pressure to qualify for European competition are getting harder after an exodus of key players every year.

For this problem, Wenger may be proud. Let's face it, not many managers out there who would faithfully fulfill his words that he would complete the mission of establishing a new basis to completion.

Clearly, a hard mission of modern football which is the main criterion "only" title. For humans at a higher level, a sweet legacy is sometimes more valuable than debauchery when being a champion.

Then why Wenger can survive in the middle of economic crisis and high expectations of the fans?

Wenger grew outside the city of Strasbourg. His father participated in World War II that made the word "discipline" imprinted in Wenger's daily life. As a child, Wenger had to help the family business at a bistro and a car repair shop. Therefore, the tradition of hard work was embedded in the minds of Wenger since young. In addition, Wenger families also emphasized on honesty.

When helping a family business, Wenger learned observing the behavior of football fans who spend long hours in order to watch a game replay and then did a discussion.

Wenger mapped out what the fans like and what they did not like. From there, Wenger learned that the process is always nobler than an outcome, let alone an instant, like an unemployed from Portugal.

From this experience, do not be surprised if Wenger with "bold" played Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie, they were a winger into a striker.

Wenger understood that both love scoring goals, did dribble that made fans holding their breath and fired a parabolic shot that hypnotizes the opponent's goalkeeper. Courage, which is based on depth research on a player makes a sweet result.

The cult of the process also he applied to Tony Adams. When Wenger first came to Arsenal, the Arsenal skipper was in the first stage of alcoholism. It could take up to 18 months for Adams to completely escape the habit of consuming liquor.

The struggle was won by Adams, with the backing from Wenger. Adams was able to get back to his best and England picking one of the best center backs throughout history. Yes, the point is a process, as well as efforts to build a home for the future.

Process, is a word derived from the understanding of hard work, discipline, and honesty in the Wenger's family. So on the one hand, we can understand the tone of "degrading" when Wenger said that West Ham should not need process because it "only" won a lottery.

Moreover, Wenger added that West Ham did not have to suffer like him. A statement, which for me, was quite disappointing, but unique.

Why disappointed? Back to my statement above, Wenger did not have to claim because it is not just him who suffers.

Just look at the fans in London willing to pay (the highest in the UK) to watch Arsenal at the Emirates. Remember also the fans around the world who buy the original product; the money goes to the treasury of Arsenal.

Who knows, a purchasing money from the original jersey of a fan in Asia could buy a sack of cement for the construction of Emirates. Or a purchasing money of genuine merchandise from a die hard fans from America could buy waterproofing paint to paint the ceiling of the beautiful Emirates.

Essentially, many parties involved and bloody participated when Emirates constructed. Is not the togetherness that forms Arsenal? Togetherness in harmony framed Victoria Concordia Crescit.

Is Wenger's sentence addressed to West Ham reflects harmony? The sentence does not reflect the process that adopted by Wenger since he was inexperienced, but depicting pride and ask for mercy.

Arrogant, who ironically seen at the situation on the field. Surpassed with two beautiful goals, Arsenal were careless and did not show how to survive ideal. Naive, they're very generous to allow West Ham players released crossing that addressed to Andy Carroll. Like the dragon get rain, Carroll undermine confidence in the Arsenal squad as a whole.

From just a greeting, a result was seen on the field. Harmony, which headed to victory was created from the sidelines.

If harmony has eroded from the image of a Wenger, then what can assure us that Arsenal grew from togetherness?

If West Ham gets a new stadium with the "easy", so do not need to be addressed with a sneer. Perhaps, their management is already working well to steal the rights to use Olympic from Tottenham Hotspur.

I am not speaking in the context Wenger Out or In Wenger We Trust. I'm talking about introspection. Make greeting from Wenger as an example for us. An example of that vanity and always claiming will end up hurt.

In the end, Victoria Concordia Crescit slogan must not only decorate the club logo only. The beautiful slogan must be felt and internalized; start from fans, the officer of stadium's ticket, parking attendants stadium, security officers, hawkers at the Emirates, the fans were singing loudly, the ball boy, kitman, the staff, the players, the manager, to the owner (if any).

Dimitri Payet: The important figure for West Ham United

Dimitri Payet (les-transferts.com)
English League undergoes a unique season. We know how the success story of Leicester City, a team that last year struggled to escape from relegation, now just become head of the Premier League. However, the story does not stop there.

There is West Ham United that also displaying good performance. Indeed, at this time, they only standings at No. 6, two points behinds Manchester United and three points behinds Manchester City. However, the possibility of stepping foot in the Champions League next season is still open widely.

Speaking about West Ham, not complete if you do not talk about Dimitri Payet. Besides Slaven Bilic, Payet is another reason behind outstanding performance of the London club.

His arrival was completely fit. Just when Slaven Bilic came and when the Premier League season let the players from the dark horse clubs to show off.

This season is Payet first season wearing the uniform of West Ham United. Which also means the first season in the Premier League.

As a new player and perform the new play, of course, it takes qualified mental and skill to play simply. And in fact, Payet is able to adapt well to the rigors of the Premier League. Even exceeding expectations.

Payet with The Hammers obviously not as popular as Mesut Ozil in Arsenal. Ozil is the world champion, and his name is well known in advance than Payet. It is too far to compare them.

Playing with The Hammers, which in fact the club from the City of London, inevitably make Payet compete directly with Mesut Ozil, Arsenal midfielder, another London clubs. And statistically, he lost much of the German midfielder. With eight assists, his collection still ten adrift of Ozil belonging.

However, statistics can not be used fully to assess the contribution of players. The Hammers fans even dared to mention that Payet better than Zinedine Zidane. And like Zidane, the Payet game's can not be judged from the statistics.

The latest evidence that he was able to seize the title of London Player Of The Year, an award for players who come from the London club. Remember, London. Which mean that he was competing with the kind of names like Harry Kane, Willian Borges, and the one and only, Mesut Ozil. This proves that good statistics does not guarantee the arrival of personal rewards, like Zidane and Payet.

The fun thing from Payet is his humble nature. He refused Known beyond the senior from France. He instead pointed Ronaldinho as his idol and role model in playing the ball. Even when he was selected as the best transfer in the Premier League, he would appoint N'golo Kante, who should get it. This is certainly different from the figure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Cristiano Ronaldo.

When viewed closely, his game did not resemble at all with Ronaldinho. But, certainly he is also able to bring West Ham, from a mediocre club into a big teams killer.

And perhaps if West Ham has a striker with class capacities like Harry Kane or Alexis Sanchez, assist contribution of Payet will also soar. It is noteworthy that Payet is the highest chances creator in Europe with 221.

His brightness at the club, in the end, and it should bring it to the French team. Last week he played with the national team to face the Netherlands (26/3) and Russia (30/3). And oddly enough, this is his first call in the past year. Amazingly, he introduced himself as one of the kings of free kicks at that time, with a goal he scored against Russia, two minutes after coming on. This tally was also a birthday gift.

The public of France may now be most grateful with the 29-year-old astonishing career performance. Even he is no longer young. He is at the peak of performance.

He came right when France needed a figure of a creative midfielder like him. He became a substitute fitting when Franck Ribery and Samir Nasri retire from the national team and Matthieu Valbuena being out of focus due to exposure to the sex video scandal involving him and Karim Benzema.

Moreover, the status of France as host of European Cup title, which would certainly not want just to ride through. The public definitely wants Les Blues to be one of champion candidate that counts by other contestants.

His Peak performance can make a team leader. At least in the attack line of France. Because the kind of young players like Paul Pogba, Antony Martial, and Antoine Griezmann, would require role models. So it is not an exaggeration to make it deserve to be called as the right man at the right time.
